My studio is in my home which is in an early 17th century grade 2 listed thatched barn. The barn is full of character and is a joy to live and work in.

Whilst I use the studio for my own work it can be made available to visiting photographers at other times to carry out their own photoshoots with models or clients.

There are lots of professional lighting options - 4 x Bowens 750w lights with lots of modifiers. A large window at one end allows good natural light photography. Traditional paper backdrops are available or you can shoot against the wealth of ancient beams. The main room is very large and very high. Also available is the hallway and a galleried mezzanine room with pool table which is reached via a spiral staircase. A straight staircase at the other end of the main room provides more options. The studio's powerful wind machine can also be used along with all the furniture.

There are separate bathroom facilities for models and photographers.

Refreshments are provided and off road car parking is available. Light lunch provided with longer bookings.

Minimum hire period is 2 hours. The cost is £25/hour for first 2 hours then just £20/hour thereafter. A 50% non refundable deposit is required on booking.

Photography club bookings welcome. Up to 6 photographers works well - same hire fee as for a single photographer - you pay for the time not the number of people.
